One of the biggest ventures for small screen on the historical divine personality ‘Kanakadaasa’ by noted director Srinivasamurthy commenced shooting.

Produced by former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy for Kasthuri television channel ‘Kanakadasa’ shoot is going on in Ravikiran Estate.

At the replica of Lord Venkateshwara of Thirumala in Bangalore Hulimavu Devara Chikkanahalli the muhurut for 300 plus television episodes ‘Kanakadasa’ was floated.

Srinivasamurthy who appears in the third stage of ‘Kanakadasa’ has also donned the role of Rangappa that was supposed to be played by Ramesh Bhat.

As of now 3 months Kanaka, 3 years Kanaka and 11 years of age is in progress. For 3 years to 11 years Harshith grandson of Srinivasamurthy is playing the role. Nitil Krishna comes in the next stage. In 20’s plus Naveen Krishna takes up nearly 100 episodes and remaining 100 episodes is by Srinivasamurthy the gigantic actor of Kannada cinema.

Muthuraj is cameraman and Sarigama Viji is handling episode direction. Rashmi, Hariprasad, Shwetha, Bhanuprakash and others are in the cast. With 45 artists and technicians Srinivasamurthy is shooting for ‘Kanakadasa’ television serial.
